Sending Letters & Packages
You can use your voice by sending letters to Netflix! Below are some instructions for where to send mail, what you can send, what you SHOULD NOT send, and a letter template. There is also info on a Dead Boy Detectives letter project!
Dead Boy Detectives Letter Project
What is the project?
The goal is to send letters to Netflix in the most coordinated way that we can!
Why?
We would get to show Netflix and other companies that we are a dedicated fanbase that is willing to do whatever it takes to save our show! There is also potential for news outlets to pick up on the project!
When?
The plan is to have the letters mailed in batches to have more of a noticeable impact! We will have a mailing date every two weeks. This will mean that many will arrive at the same time, while others will flood in later in waves but it will be a constant arrival of letters for weeks!
Current Mailing Dates:
September 12th
September 26th
October 3rd
As individuals, this will take only a couple of minutes to put together. As a whole, this could have a huge impact and show how much we care about the show.
Guidelines
Sending mail is a great way to use your voice! HOWEVER there are some guidelines we must follow so we do not discredit the cast & crew and the fandom!
Sending hate to Netflix WILL NOT get them to listen to us. Just show your love for the series, cast, crew and creators! Talk about how much you love the show!
SEND! ✓
These Items are completely fine and safe to include in your packages and will help show Netflix how dedicated we are WITHOUT doing anything harmful! Lets show our love for the franchise!
Comic Panels ✓
Printed out panels from the comics! These are a great item to include in your letters! Images from the comics will show your love and still get the message across! You can print them straight out from a printer and paste them to your letters!
Paper Bowties ✓
A fan suggested paper origami bowties, with #SaveDeadBoyDetectives written on them! We think that is a lovely idea! There is an infographic on how to make them below! This is also a light item, so you will not have to worry about expensive costs!
DO NOT SEND! ✗
We understand the significance of both of these items in the show, but they are both Health and Safety risks and could discredit the entire campaign.
Red Sea Glass ✗
Cute idea, but MANY PEOPLE have been just calling it "red glass" & don’t realize that people online will take things literally. That could put folks receiving the packages a chance to receive sharp objects which is a SAFETY RISK.
Spaghetti ✗
Spaghetti, cooked or not is a HEALTH RISK. Just don't send food in the mail please. Plus, they might just throw it out immediately if they see that it is food. We want them to open the packages and letters!
